Magic of Love

Love is a connection; a state of mind that keeps us close to God and aware of the universe. It is about feeling blessed and beautiful. It is also about letting go and setting free.
A wise person once said that we should let go of that which we fear to lose the most. Love causes pain and love cures pain. Love bleeds our heart and love heals our heart. Love makes us want to die and love makes us want to live all over again. Love makes us lose ourselves and discover ourselves in so many ways. Love means wanting to be and just be and feel free. In love one should flow like a river, reflect like a mirror and respond like echo. The strongest love is that which can demonstrate its fragility.
Mirabai was one such woman who surrendered completely to love. Born and brought up as a Rajasthani princess, she was betrothed to a Rajput Ruler. But she always considered Lord Krishna to be her true husband. Her love brought her a lot of pain and suffering, yet she left no space for compromise. In one of her songs, Mira sings, “I am going mad with pain, but no one gets it. Only the wounded feel their wounds”.
We can live life but we cannot run it. We can feel love but we cannot possess it.But love is such a powerful emotion that once it comes out of you, after roaming the universe it eventually finds its way back to you. People come and go in our lives.
Feelings change with time. The ups and downs of life leave their marks on us. But memories stay with us always. And whenever we need that extra bit of energy, we can close our eyes for a person should always surpass our need. Love is timeless and infinite. It has no whereto go and no place to each. It’s just there, everywhere and in everything.
Even the universe conspires with us once we decided to be strong. And as Winnie the Pooh says “You’re never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true”. So feel love.Wish for all you want, dream to your hearts content and wait with patience and strength for the magic to happen. Ultimately,we find love not in someone else but in ourselves. We simply awaken it.It’s just that the universe makes so much more sense when we have someone to share it with.
